Biographical Info Bryan Konefsky directs Basement Films' annual Experiments in Cinema film festival. He is an instructor in the Department of Cinematic Arts at the University of New Mexico and he serves on the Board of Advisers for the Ann Arbor Film Festival, the oldest experimental film festival in the United States.
Program Title EXPERIMENTAL CINEMA AND THE POLITICS OF CULTURAL REPRESENTATION
 
Program Description Experimental Cinema and the Politics of Cultural Representation introduces audiences to lesser known cinematic histories as a way of diversifying the current statewide conversation about the legacy of filmmaking in New Mexico and how this media history informs ways in which we think about ourselves as New Mexicans. The goal of this program is to inspire a diverse citizenship to participate in shaping future trends in cultural representation.
