| Biographical Info | M. Jimmie Killingsworth and Jacqueline S. Palmer returned to New Mexico (where they met at New Mexico Tech in the 1980s) after retiring from the English department at Texas A&M University. They both taught technical communication and rhetoric and are co-authors of the award-winning book Ecospeak: Rhetoric and Environmental Politics in America (1992) and the textbook Information in Action: A Guide to Technical Communication (1999). Killingsworth’s writing also extended to literary scholarship and nature essays, including such works as Walt Whitman and the Earth: A Study in Ecopoetics (2005) and Facing It: Epiphany and Apocalypse in the New Nature (2014). They currently live near Taos. |
