Biographical Info M. Jimmie Killingsworth and Jacqueline S. Palmer returned to New Mexico (where they met at New Mexico Tech in the 1980s) after retiring from the English department at Texas A&M University. They both taught technical communication and rhetoric and are co-authors of the award-winning book Ecospeak: Rhetoric and Environmental Politics in America (1992) and the textbook Information in Action: A Guide to Technical Communication (1999). Killingsworth’s writing also extended to literary scholarship and nature essays, including such works as Walt Whitman and the Earth: A Study in Ecopoetics (2005) and Facing It: Epiphany and Apocalypse in the New Nature (2014). They currently live near Taos.
