Program Title ME AND BILLY
Character Name Billy the Kid
Program Description
Come ride with America's favorite outlaw - Billy the Kid. The callow desperado who killed 21 men (one for each year of his life?), robbed and rustled and murdered - while always laughing. Or the lad who "sang with a beautiful Irish tenor" in Sunday School, organized and staged a musical show at the age of 12, danced with the senoritas at fandangos and was always helpful to - and welcomed by - the native New Mexicans. Ralph Estes was Billy's best friend, rode with him, sang with him, fought with him. In this program, Ralph sings and tells of the real Billy, not the fiction created by the man who shot him.
