Initiatives > Talking Service: A Reading & Discussion Program > What responsibilities does the host organization have?

The host organization should designate a host-site coordinator--a staff person to handle all logistical aspects of the program, including recruiting veterans, reserving space, room set up, distributing readings and collecting evaluations, and reporting back to the Council. The host-site coordinator is also responsible for attending a training webinar prior to the start of their series. Gather and retain a group of veterans to participate in the program/series. Host organizations are also responsible in selecting their facilitator. The NMHC can also assist in selecting a facilitator for your organization if needed.

The host organization may, but is not required to, provide refreshments at each session. The host organization agrees to donate the cost of the host-site coordinator’s staff time.
