Karen Michelle Quisenberry, Senior Program Officer

Karen Michelle Quisenberry became the NMHC program officer in May of 2004. She directs the NMHC grant program, including conducting pre-submission consultations with applicants and coordinates the Smithsonian Institution Museum on Main on Street (MoMs) program, which brings exhibits to small museums. Michelle helped close out the first MoMs program in 2003-2004, Yesterday?s Tomorrows, and is coordinating activities scheduled for New Harmonies, which just opened this spring. Michelle graduated in 2002 from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Spanish and Cultural Anthropology with an emphasis on literature and Southwest studies. She fluently speaks, writes, and does interpretation for Spanish text.
