9th annual Gila River Festival

The 9th annual Gila River Festival kicks off this Thursday, September 19th through the 22nd. "The Gila River is in Our Hands," is the theme this year and it's all about changes, choices, and community empowerment. The weekend is full of activities ranging from discussions to hikes to workshops to poetry-- not to mention being in the midst of a national forest. Friends of the Library book sale (Silver City)

Saturday, at 10am, at 1510 Market St, the library is hosting a book sale! The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the public library.

Alamagordo Wine Festival

The Tularosa Basin Wine & Music Fest celebrates its 7th year. The combined Rotary clubs of the area come together to promote New Mexico’s historic wine industry, showcasing the best of the state’s wines, along with local and regional artists and live music all day. This event takes place concurrently with the White Sands Balloon Invitational, drawing pilots and crews, along with balloon enthusiasts from around the state, to Alamogordo. Proceeds benefit the programs of these three Rotary Clubs: White Sands, Tularosa & Alamogordo.
